About Me

I was sixteen years old when I first went to therapy. My teachers referred me to therapy after the death of my father, who died from cancer at the time.  Since then, I’ve always wanted to be a therapist. I became in touch with how powerful it can be to tell our stories and be witnessed, and the possibility of healing through therapy. I see my role as a therapist as both a sacred vocation and calling. Being a therapist is a spiritual experience for me.

Prior to following my path as a therapist, I spent five years in the classroom as a special education teacher in public schools for high school students. I come to the work of therapy with a passion for social justice and an investment in participating in healing for myself and others in community in order to make the world a better place. I completed my Masters in Integral Counseling Psychology at California Institute of Integral Studies. The majority of my clinical training and perspective is rooted in and shaped by Gestalt principles, and non-hierarchical, feminist, and critical race theories. I understand my wisdom and knowledge as both institutional and ancestral.
